Yeah, all your files but not your programs

Should give you all of that info on the main screen. Should tell you the name, core/thread count and the speed.

It doesn't

but it does say r5 1600 six core

So the bios is showing it as a six core cpu. As long as it also shows all 6 cores under AI tweaker, you should be good on that side of things and it is likely going to be your OS. Try a refresh like others have stated and if it doesn't work, install Windows again. If you have a spare drive, install it on there first and see what it says. If it fixes it, then you know what the deal is, if not, then there is something else going on.

i5 6600k @ 4.4ghz on Hyper 212 Evo

Powercolor RX 480 8Gb Red Devil @1330Mhz

Bottom line:  Don't be a spaz or an 800lb gorilla when installing your expensive CPU, and you won't have any problems. --Phate.exe

Forgive my lazy mspaint job.

You accidentally checked the box that disables 2 cores.  Select the box to the left that says 0 cores.

When I click disable 0 cores it won't let me ally and says

number of cores lesser than the current can not be applied

this requires power cycle

Already told him to try that...

That only shows 8 not 12

That will happen if you activate that option when only 4 cores were used at startup. You need to un-check that option and reboot. But if it was never checked, that is not your problem. If it was, you need to disable it and reboot.

"Power cycle" is simply a synonym for the good old "turn off, then on".
