I've made a forum like this a while ago, but I have made changes since, so I want a final check with some people who probably know more than me about building :)

This is my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Xbxvcc

Where can I improve, etc? I won't be going over 500 dollars.

Thanks,

Ryan

Edit: Within the next year, I will probably update to a quad core because obviously a g4560 dual isn't enough for the gpu

cause he will save more $ , cheaper mb and cpu now , upgrading ssd or gpu now ,
and later he can buy amd ryzen +mb or i5,i7+mb , that he says ,
he gets cheaper thinks now cause soon he will upgrade them both i guess ,
and later when he will upgrade mb and cpu , he will already have the basics , like an ssd or a better gpu
long term thoughts

These aren't long term thoughts. AM3+ is a dead socket and there is no more upgrade path on the socket. Also the gaming performance would be worse. You would also have to upgrade the RAM. Its LESS long term thoughts and MORE saving money now.

What?

  1. The FX CPU is more expensive
  2. Motherboards aren't cheaper
  3. There are MANY CPU intensive games....

upgrade path : No
Higher Performance: No

BUT

it has more threads up to 8
overclockable up to 4,5 with stock cooler
cheaper motherboard for sure
fx frames vs pentium frames difference  , not more than 20 per game in 1080p , so if pentium is 20 frames better than fx is not that big deal at all for me
and for last is it actually a pentium most valuable price than an fx ,
fx=valuable performance ,cheaper motherboard , cheaper cpu , valuable price for both
pentium=just good enough for its money , motherboard good enough for his money , performance is good enough for his money , and even its upgrade path is good enough for its money BUT do you looking for just a good enough overall cpu or for most valuable price cpu and motherboard to save money at moment and upgrade later in something better? thats the question

Good luck achieving that! Plus, IPC is crap, so a 3.3GHz Intel chip can beat it

fx frames vs pentium frames difference  , not more than 20 per game in 1080p , so if pentium is 20 frames better than fx is not that big deal at all for me

20 frames make a HUGE difference

Lol, the 4350 is CRAP. The G4560 completely destroys it!

FYI, this Pentium is like an i3 6100 as it has 2C/4T....

you are not staying on the theme ,
with a 40$ motherboard and a fx 4350 , you save enough money to upgrade later for i5 or i7 or ryzen , or save money and spend them now for a better gpu or a new ssd ,
THE WHOLE THEME is that he gonna upgrade it soon or later and he will have to upgrade his motherboard and cpu again
