Q6600+9800GT SLI

So I've been looking around at some older hardware that I used to use and thought to myself.  Could I grab tech from 2008, overclock it as far as I can and see if it can play some current games that support DX10.  I was actually going to pickup 2 GTS 250 1GB GDDR3 as they are rebadged 9800GT's and get a Q6600 with a hyper 212 evo and OC it to mid 3's.  Pair it with an SSD, a 650W PSU I have spare and see what it can do.  Would anyone be curious about this?

Yes!! I've got a Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz laying around. It'd probs need a new mobo to OC, but I'd be interested in seeing how it performs.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

If you wouldn't mind testing it to post I'll pay to ship it to me and maybe throw you a few bucks?

It posts. It was my main computer till I switched to a newer Pentium, so I could use the 12GB RAM I had for it. I don't think I want to sell it though. I'll hang on to it, and if you can't find another one, then let me know, and I'll ask my Dad about it and (hopefully) send it your way. I was thinking of trying to find some old desktops to salvage a better GPU and more RAM out of so I could set it up for my brother, or a cousin, or anyone who needed it. So it can be your backup plan if you can't get your hands on another one. ;)
