overcloking my laptop gpu

Hey awesome people

i was just playing cs go and the performance was crap as at 720p i was getting only 102 fps as this is decent but  i want more than 150 fps on high settings(currently playing on low) so i thought of overclocking it. As i am a complete beginner in overclocking i wanted you guys to help me 

please tell me which software or anything is used in laptop gpu overclocking(not a gaming laptop by any means it is a asus r558u)(the gpu is a geforce 930m paired with an i5 6200u and 4 gigs of ram)

what do i have to do and please explain it to me.

Any gpu overclocking software will work fine. They all just tell the driver to overclock it, os the software doesn't matter.

 

Look at how hot its running first, there is normally almost no thermal room left.

It won't help. CSGO is CPU based game.

 

If you still want to learn about overclocking, Youtube has loads of tutorials.

msi afterburner works fine, try it

msi afterburner is commonly used, do note that just because you installed the software doesn't mean an overclock will be supported.

i guess you laptop screen is 60htz so it wont matter anyways

also you can oc your screen

No. Most mainstream laptops come with only 60Hz displays.

I played at like 120 FPS on dust 2 with a GT 610. Not sure how that stacks up against a 930m but maybe try reducing background apps and such first?

For Source games only there's a massive difference between 100 and 300 FPS irrelevant of refresh rate

I wouldn't on a laptop, overclocking displays is for desktop monitors. Even then, don't expect any higher than a few extra Hertz.

yes you can from nvidea control panel i got myne to 74htz from 60

i was unlucky

my friend got his 144htz to 244htz REALY LUCKY
