Posted April 13, 2017 is is safe to just end task on "system" and some other program in task manager since its likely to use 99% of my HDD and slow my laptop down, or is there any alternative because this just stupid. it's slow down and i can't see a clear view of my video editing preview, it's annoying. Posted April 13, 2017 You can stop the modules installer and malware scanner things, but I don't think it will let you kill the 'system' process. Posted April 13, 2017 Did you disable the unwanted programs under the startup tab in msconfig that way they only start when you actually want them to? If they aren't viri/trojans/malware, it should be as simple as that. If it's constant updates, just disable automatic updates in the individual programs themselves.
