so awhile ago I was overclocking my computer and I was surprised I was able to overclock my CPU while lowering the voltage to reduce heat output and I wonder if a overclock like this is better than average (and before you asked I have ran prime 95 for 2 days straight without any issues [tho temps did hit 81c max but then letter cooled to around 75c])

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Wait you got ~4.4 ghz with a 4690k?

Not bad. Not bad at all

edit: Wait, you got this with your temps being ~51 C? I'm guessing that's idle, but if that's load, holy shit biscuits, you are a god among men.

Not really? I don't know of any Haswell K chip that can't hit 4.4.

Haswell-DT, not K. He has a 4690k, which is Devil's Canyon I believe.

this makes me feel better :P I feel like this is the best I can do with my 212 Evo air cooler (was a old part I had to buy because my old 8350 kept overheating in games like GTA 5)

Damn, you hit the sweet spot. You got a pretty damn good OC with a 212 evo, that's how you know you won the lottery.
