So I got a new display driver for my GTX 1070 and I thought it was RAM at first but now I'm thinking it's the new display driver so I looked up how to do it but it didn't work for me so I was wondering if there was a way to uninstall it on GeForce experience or any other way would be fine.

Thanks

As LordWaffleGoblin stated you can get DDU here: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html  As for safe mode, if you are using windows 10 click the start button then the power button and click restart while holding shift, wait for it to reboot then select troubleshoot then startup settings and select enable safe mode.

But how will I get the other driver back

You can get the driver's from nvidia's website.  For older drivers you can look here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us .

Did you update the driver via GeForce experience?

Yes

Ok so all I do is download DDU, go into safe mode (according to you and this website https://www.lifewire.com/safe-mode-2626018), Run DDU and then download the older driver http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/117263/en-us

is this correct?

Thanks

Yes that's all correct though you don't get any networking in safe mode so you will have to reboot into windows 10 (non safe mode) and then download the drivers.

So I turn on safe mode uninstall the drivers (and it will use generic drivers right? And plus what are they) then go out of safe mode I re download the older one (one more question how do I get out of safe mode)

You can just reboot regularly without holding shift to get out of safe mode. The generic windows gpu drivers will only show an 800x600 resolution so don't be alarmed if the resolution goes down after uninstalling, this will be fixed after you install the nvidia drivers.

No, you don't need to.

You download it onto your computer, BUT don't install it.

You need to click and run the driver program before it begins to install.

...you receive a package from the post office, but you don't have to open it right away on the spot...

I have 3 different AMD drivers downloaded and stored on my hard drive (for testing purposes), and I can uninstall and install the one I need.

Oh...my...

Both DDU, AND the NVidia drivers (and any other computer program that you download).

Computer programs don't just run automatically on their own with no user control.

For an example, here is one of the AMD graphics card drivers that I have..sitting in my "Downloads" folder.

It doesn't do anything until I double-click on it a press the "Install" button.

The latest Nvidia drivers for Windows 10, and DDU just downloaded, and sitting in my "Downloads" folder.
