I am still kind of unsure about installing an aftermarket heatsink, never done it before. I have decided on the CM Hyper 212 Evo

Can anyone link me to a really good tuturial on how to install the Evo and thermal paste ?

read the instruction manual thats comes with the heatsink.

it depends on how much room you have in your case and how big your hands are.

What about an R4 and small hands ?

I would mount it in the case so you will be able to install the backplate easier. This was a great tutorial imo:
