which computer?

Or more specific, which mainboard?

I don't know any, that doesn't have at least one x16 PCIe slot.

But yes, it will work, as long the Slot is an x16 long one (Even if it has only x8 Pins connected)).

Which Graphic Card does not work as well as you thought? What did you thought it would perform like?

More infos would be great, because the Info you provided is pretty much... Zero ^^

Here is a photo of my mainboard. I currently use a GT 730, which I thought would allow me to play Rust but even at the lowest setting, I can barely get 12 fps with lots of lag. I was planning to switch to a RX GPU but wasn't sure if they'd fit into this prebuilt system.

Oh something like that.

Top in the corner is the PSU (where all the Cables come from).

There should be a Data sheet on it, Post a picture of it. ^^ Which gPU you can use, depends on the PSU. If it's a 10 year old low end PSU, i would highly recommend a newer one.

Also, full specs would be nice (how much Ram, which CPU, which GPU).

However, i would recommend either a GTX 1050, or GTX 1050 ti maximum, not more. Because they can (like the RX 460) run without any Power connector, which is good.

At least in my country, GTX 1050 and 1050 ti have a better Price / Performance, than RX 460 2gb / 4gb variants.

Also, GTX 1050 is faster, and consumes a few watt less.

I was also thinking of switching to a 1050 but someone recommended the 480 OC 4gb armor. I was also planning to switch to a Corsair SF450 PSU.

You can try to cut the PCIe slot so that the x16 will fit, but you won't have the data pins for x16. I highly suggest you read up on what to do fully and completely before undertaking something that could damage the motherboard.

It should work, it is an PCIe slot so it will work, though you do need a better PSU. You will need a better PSU, I do suggest an RX 470 or RX 480 but make sure you get a better PSU. The EVGA GS should fit in it if you want a bit higher end of a PSU.

Do you have a link to the PC?

If I could, I would prefer a x8 GPU that would run Rust or any other game better from to mid to high settings. I was only asking because, on another thread, I recall someone saying the Armor would fit, so I started this thread as a reassurance.

Someone mentioned that my PC was smaller than a standard ATX unit.
