you can overclock with pretty much any card, with mixed results.

 

overclock cards just come slightly pre-overclocked a little and tend to have better results 

 

if you want the BEST overclock, usually kingpin cards are the way to go as they use pcbs that have been tested to overclock better\

 

You're paying a premium for either of those though.

Ever since the fury cards, AMDs drivers have been weird with opengl under certain lighting conditions causing artifcating. I /had/ an RX 480 before returning for a 1060 and have had a better experience.

On a totally non-performance matter, for some reason Asus removed the rgb backplate on the 1060, they kept it for the rx480 though.

Ya, thats what i dont like about the 1070, im thinking of 1070 then. But G-Sync monitors are a little expensive
