Get the 1060 6GB or the 980 then..... I would get the 1060 6GB, because it has more vRAM and it is newer, but the 980 is faster, when it is overclocked...

Actually, get the 980 and overclock it. It will be faster than both the 1060 and the 480...

BTW, look into the R9 Fury (if you don't care about the heat and the power consumption)

Nvidia doesn't nerf their older GPUs, they just don't optimize for them... :P
