Posted April 2, 2017 I currently have a gtx 1080 and i am planning on getting a second one. Will my 550W PSU be enough? Posted April 2, 2017 For two 1080s in SLI I think it would be more like 700 watts, give or take that you'll need so you'll probably need a new PSU. It'll also depend on if you're overclocking if you need to bump it up a little more to 750 or not. The only annoying bit is i already changed my PSU once when i upgraded to a 1080 and i don't want to get another one as it was a pain to sell on. I guess ill have to if i want another 1080. Posted April 2, 2017 (edited) I am hitting 640 Watts system power used with sli 980Ti, if I run furmark and 95 it can use 860 watts, if you stay with the 550 at least buy a fire extinguisher (turns out furmark+prime95 has my system using 990 watts max and 1050 watts from the wall. That's why you go overkill on your PSU when you make the initial purchases for your build. Cheaping out on a low-end PSU is never a good idea unless you know you will only have a budget build and never anything better.
