Hi!

I've finally decided on everything for the watercooling on my Stryker rig except for the number of fans.

I'm going to have two loops, one for the gpu and one for the cpu. One 240mm radiator on the bottom and one 240mm on the top. Will 2 fans per radiator be enough to cool everything or will I need more case fans? I'm trying to get it as quiet as possible without sacrificing too much cooling.

This is the fan I'm going to use: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/19000/fan-1193/Cougar_120mm_x_25mm_CFD_Series_LED_Fan_-_Blue_LED_CF-D12HB-B.html#blank

Thanks

Thanks for the fast response =)

But the main issue is the number of fans. Will 2 fans per radiator be enough? 4 fans total.

IMO, get like one or 2 case fans just for good measure :)

2 fans per radiator is good enough. 4 fans will improve temps by like 1 deg. i would put them in pull though.

Another question, the fans don't have "PWM", if I connect them to the motherboard fan controller, can I still change their speed?

Depends on the motherboard, some motherboards offer voltage control on fans, specifically high end ASUS motherboards. There may be more though, you will have to look it up.

I'll look look into them =)

But 4 fans will be enough? There won't be much difference with 2 or so more?

Not much, but it would be louder if you double the number of fans. If you feel you don't have enough performance you can alsways add more fans.

What if i connect them to the case built in fan controller? I have a CM Storm Stryker

That probably uses voltage fan control so that would work.

GT AP-15 is much louder than the other fans I've looked at. Since I'm trying to make it as quiet as possible I don't think I will be going for that one.

Probably because they run at 1850rpm at 12V. Normally people run them off some type of controller to automatically adjust voltage when necessary.
