Corsair getting old.... >.<

That sounds extremely hipster to me. I'll buy something if it's good, even if everyone else has one.

Personally if I were to build a system right now i'd probably use a powdercoated silverstone psu with their lovely braided cables you can buy, inside something like the new phanteks case or a silverstone case/ the air540 and some corsair sp series or gelid wings or silverstone air penetrators or gentle typhoons.. So many options. But just chucking in a ton of corsair is easy to do, and guaranteed to work just fine, and look good too - hence why a ton of people use it.

I also agree that this is a pretty edgy/hipster thread... This is like saying stop buying ford cars because they are too old, there are too many of them, why would you buy something well priced and long lasting from a company you trust, everyone uses it so....

1. R4

2. Well their the only company (that I know of) that offer sleeved cables (not extensions)

3. not really there are more noctuas (here anyways)

4. They are easily obtainable and well known

They do sometimes get a bit tiring, I'm starting to look down on them honestly because of the premiums on some of their stuff, but it's mostly good. I think a lot of people just like buying Corsair because the brand/warranty+support is good and they've build a solid reputation.

That said, I don't own anything Corsair. I bought my R4 almost right after release, so don't hit me on that one.

Silverstone doesn't get enough attention. Their cases and power supplies are so nice.

The only corsair I have are dual sp's on my 212 evo. And that is only because they are half the price of nff12's.

Corsair is okay..not great. Cases are sub to much of what's out there. Many fans outperform the SP and AP series. Power supplies are just rebranded oem built to their spec. you can't really apply "hipster" to the pc world! lol

I agree, there is a lot of Corsair fanboy-ism out there. Its nice to see builds with some other brands implemented from time to time. I do own my fair share of Corsair products though, 4 power supplies and 2 flash drives.

My only Corsair product is my SP120s, purely because they were a really good price and are very powerful fans at blowing air through my H20 620 and didn't look like someone has vomited on them.

Two corsair fans = 1 Noctua fan.

They're just really good in terms of price to performance.

There are many alternatives to Corsair, however it seems that that everything they make is of good quality, so there is a good reason to load your system with Corsair gear :P My two cents

i5 3570k - MSI Z77 GD65 - 16GB Corsair Vengeance - Galaxy GTX 780 - Corsair AX650 - Custom CPU Loop - Corsair 650D - OCZ Agility 4 128GB - WD Black 640GB

Corsair is one of the few companies that make cases that I really like the look of and have all the features I want. When it comes to aesthetics I like clean lines and minimalism in general. I don't want a case that screams "I'm a gaming case" with weird angles or odd gimmicks. I want something clean that looks nice and has a lot of radiator room without being the size of a VW Beetle or cost several hundred dollars. Corsair's incredible customer services helps a lot too. I bought a 750D used from Amazon Warehouse and it came in much worse condition than advertised but I had parts in and it really wasn't feasible to do a return. I contacted Corsair about purchasing replacement parts and instead they shipped me a new front panel, new side window panel, a whole new set of filters, and a new front fan cover all for free. They also told me not to ship the damaged parts back to them. Corsair has more than earned a top stop when it comes to me buying parts, even if they do sometimes cost more than other brands.

That is great customer service! Don't get me wrong, I use corsair ram and power supply. The Corsair only look is what's getting old to me. in my opinion though, the best case they ever made though was the 800d. everything since hasn't had the same quality.

The products that I use are their case and their power supplies. But I don't really see this "corsair look" happening to my friends as they mostly don't use corsair products so not really getting tired to this look.
