Somone has offerd me a a 2012 Macbook pro for £250 (I5, 8gb ram and a 240gb SSD) 

 

Is this a good deal? 

 

Also, does it a have a 1080p screen?

The 13inch version memory is upgradable. 

 

Regardless, don't think they had a 1080p macbook in 2012.

no such thing as 1080p mac book pro, there is 768p and 2880 by 1800 retina.

It's not bad especially at this price. It's a TN panel, but its a okay TN panel for its time.

It's for 250 quid lower your expectations :p. It looks like a really good deal, I'd get it unless the notebook is beaten up pretty badly.

I still use my macbook air 2012 that has 4 GB ram a 250 GB ssd (upgraded from 60gb) and a core i5-3317U @ 1.7 Ghz, It's fine for every day tasks and pretty nice for web development, only thing is that I use it for school so my battery has seen better days after 1600 battery cycles rip

No, it doesn't have a 768 screen.

It's 1280x800 for 13" screens

1440x900 for 15" screens

And you most likely have a 13" MacBook Pro, since all the 15" models came with i7s that year (pre-retina)

£250 for an i5 MacBook pro is a really good deal as they go for double that on eBay!

Those are very rare, and I highly doubt for 250, he's getting one of those.
