So I upgraded my GPU to a 7750 and in Portal 2, GTA : SA, and Dirt 3, My GPU never goes above 60 FPS.(Can't tell if other games because I can't reach 60 FPS) and I have "Wait for Vertical Refresh" in the Catalyst control center set to "ALWAYS OFF". My GT 620 never had FPS locked on Portal 2 or GTA : SA, though...

im waiting for the problem to arise..... considering u bought a 7750 u most likely have a 60hz monitor which means 60FPS locked in is perfect. naything higher could only introduce the possiblility of tearing

Definitely check your VSYNC settings in game, not in the control center. Other than that as everyone else say it isn't the worst thing in the world to be capped at 60 as you're probably gonna play with VSYNC enabled anyways. I can see why it annoys you though.

I want to see my GPU at its full potential.

...But you won't see your GPU at it's full potential anyway.

Oh well is there any game you have that you can physically make run above 60fps?

EDIT: your reply to some other guy just answered that.

How about any source games going above 60?

..I didn't see the setting to turn VSync off until I pressed the "ADVANCED VIDEO SETTINGS" tab...

Sounds like the GPU just under performs...

Considering you cant top 60 on a source engine game I'm a bit confused, seeing as the GTX560 gets 300+ frames on TF2 and csgo with phong lighting disabled. (mat_phong 0)

My CPU is underperforming considering it's a Dual-core..... I think my 7750 gets about 200+ FPS on TF2 with VSync off.
