Yeah, but none of the Pentium and Celeron CPUs have ever had support for RST. Optane is implemented using Intel SRT (Smart Response Technology: SSD cache for a Hard Drive), and SRT is implemented using RST (Rapid Storage Technology: firmware RAID).

 

So why is it ridiculous that a processor -that doesn't have the hardware needed to support it- doesn't support it?
