There are newer cards out such as the intel 8260 and it is not soldered onto the main board, so it is upgradble

You cant be 100% sure of that. Some laptop manufactures like Lenovo have a white list of WIFI adapters in their BIOS. If you use outside the white list your computer wont boot.

Also I checked the difference between the two cards in this thread. There isnt one that I have seen. I see this as a pointless upgrade. Your not going to gain any speed. could see going to a faster card, but the max speed on both is 867Mbps. So whats the point?

There isn't anything to upgrade to. Bluetooth 4.0 is the one of the latest and greatest (and the most widely used at this moment) and ac WiFi is the best you can have at this moment. Newer WiFi standards are not available yet to the general consumers.

Secondly, since we are talking about a laptop - we don't even know, if there is anything that can be upgraded. If the chip is soldered or just part of the main board, then you can not upgrade it at all.

EDIT: some fixes to the facts.

if you want a upgrade get a LAN Cable. Wireless will never beat it, and what exactly are you doing that wireless AC isn't fast enough. and please stop staying Because I want to thats thats stupidest response. its like me saying i've got 2 Titans and want to upgrade.. Why.. because i want to ? How in anyone does that help any of us in giving you advise which is the point of a forum post asking something, rather just tell us in which point the current performance is lacking and we can suggest ways to improve it, or do you just want to have the biggest ePenis in all the land by bragging that your laptop has the S3perL33t Wirel3SS 9000 card.
