Mass Effect: Andromeda stats?

Joelbanks5

How much did mass effect andromeda cost to produce?

How much money has mass effect andromeda made so far?

What is the general response to the game so far? Are most people saying it's good, bad, mixed?

well i've tried the 10-hour trial via Origin and the animations aren't that great. the facial features are questionable as well.. already met a fair share of odd faces, plus wonky animations.

note i picked male Ryder

but this scene takes the cake

It's a good game according to my wife. I won't be playing it as the choice system left a sour taste in my mouth.

I meant the choice system from the trilogy. I hate being forced to play as just a bad or good guy when the choice affects nothing in the overall scheme. She said this one has nothing to do with Commander Shepard (or however you spell it) and that you play as some newbie.

I was actually kind of meh about how you arent someone skill like Shepard, but slowly thought it could slowly grow to something good. It has nothing to do with her cause it takes place 200 years after the original trilogy. You werent forced to be good or bad most of the time. You had good or bad choices along with the normal dialogue. In Andromeda I heard they removed those options

Did they? In ME2, you needed to perform a certain amount of either to get good reports with all squad members which is why I hated having to play it strictly.

I have over 60 hours in the game so far with 82% of the entire game complete, I've also dabbled a bit in the multiplayer. My personal opinion is that animations are good but for a few scenes later in the game the face animations are weird, the running, as I said before, feels like assassins creed minus the stopping when turning and bumping into NPCs. The choice system is no longer paragon or renegade, both sides can be either both bad or both good or just however you view them, each with their pros and cons. And it's still the same on how squadmates and random NPCs have their own opinions on matters, which I think is great. I've got to say they've made many improvements to the dialogue, giving you more options to choose from sometimes and you can talk more often (though I'd like to see more in depth conversations as well, not just more conversations or comments). So you can walk into the nexus and talk to a team mate, or any social hub really, and once the conversation is over you can sometimes immediately start a new conversation or you have to leave and come back, whereas in the previous games you'd have to complete missions of any sort(still another thing you can do to get new conversations or comments, finish a mission, doesn't have to be a story one) to get a new conversation or comment or sometimes you wouldn't be able to talk at all at those places or just very little. The combat has always been greatly improved, it's far more entertaining and energetic feeling (I love the charge ability, dashing from one enemy on this side of the room to another enemy on the other side) though one thing I don't like is how almost every enemy is designed (their AI and abilities are designed like that) to keep you out of cover. The almost deal breaker for me was the romances, they screwed up, big time. They made some things better like friends with benefits kind of stuff, but they ruined the romantic relationships, half the game you're just flirting with people you like and the other half is you having 1 or 2 meaningful interactions with the NPC you're in a relationship with. Now I have only done 2 relationships so far, but that's what happened with those 2. I think this is like that because they added so many NPCs that can be romanced, this is a great example of quality over quantity imo. That nearly just made me drop the entire series. Also as far as just your teammates in general it builds those  characters pretty well but you just don't feel as attached to them, also some loyalty missions just aren't very good, other are great. I'm kinda so so on the character building and bonding moments, but as far as relationships go they did pretty poorly. The multiplayer is a bit dull, it's the same thing over and over again, it's pretty much grinding to get a higher status to show off how much you grinded playing multiplayer.

The story has been pretty decent, but it is really short. If I played only the story missions I'd probably be done in a day or 2. But other than that it was kinda average, it did take a lot of stuff from the original trilogy and just call it something different. An example would be in the milky way we have the Protheans to advance our technology and in Helius their tech and science was advanced by the remnant, same idea just named something different and given a different look. Overall looking at the entire game I would call it average and give it a 7.5/10. Don't expect too much going into mass effect andromeda it's just an average game. except for the combat it is pretty dang good honestly.

Sorry I didn't put much thought and effort into making this, just thought I would give you my 2 cents on a few things.

Dumbed down Version of the Original with technical Issues, boring Missions, ridiculous animations, but beautiful Worlds and good Combat. Average Score is 7/10.

A friend of mine is 20h in. He say its a better Version of Inquisition in Space. Sometimes very cool, sometimes ridiculous. No match for ME1+2 story and character wise, but fun for exploring and combat.

I guess wait for another patch or two cant hurt.

Yeah I agree with the story being a dumbed down version of the trilogy, it has a lot of the same ideas and concepts just re-skinned for the andromeda galaxy.

I think many of the side missions are great, mainly for me is the role playing perspective which I love how the implemented in this game. I don't normally do side quests but these ones are for the most part fun and they make me feel like I'm actually making the planet more habitable and what my when I complete them, which is the role playing part I like. As far as animations go I've got to say I haven't really seen as many weird animations (or maybe I just can't recall them) as everyone is saying there are. I've got a few weird facial animations towards the end of the story missions (the beginning didn't really have many) and other weird animations I have yet to see if I ever will. The eyes do some weird shit quite a bit though. My favorite improvement made in this installment to the series is the amount of dialogue and comments, only a few times in between story missions did I run into a time when I would talk to a team mate on the nexus or in Kadara port would they start repeating the same thing over and over (I absolutely hate it when that is in games), they had a lot to say about main missions but also because I played a lot of side missions they had small conversations about those or comments which is nice. The part I hate most about andromeda are the relationships, they really fell flat here, half the game you're flirting with them and nothing in their normal dialogue changes to show a growing relationship between you two and the other half you have one kinda meaningful scene with them that just isn't very good.

And your our friend is right about the combat, if you go down the combat tree or the tech tree it might be a little stale but when you play as a biotic going down the biotic tree it's so fun, you can dash all over the place from enemy to enemy with charge, throw people around like rag dolls, or ground pound near a group of enemies and send them all flying. This was a great improvement, though I will miss the shooting from cover for the kind of nostalgic feeling. One thing thy did that I don't like to achieve this is making all the enemies' abilities kit and their tactics to keep you out of cover. That's like the main and only purpose of all the enemies.

Funny you should mention that, a shitlord on Twitter (I forgot who right now) looked at her resume and she had like 3 years of previous experience animating according to her LinkedIn profile which probably means she took an animation course in college and had 0 experience and EA put her in charge as an affirmative hair cause she probably screamed "Vagina!" and got the job that way in modern PC happy EA.

I think a remember watching a video which said that is a bunch of bs made by some angry guy. There was a twitter post by one of the higher up people in the andromeda production stuff saying she wasn't lead in anything and that the people saying that we're pretty much ass holes. And other more established news sites also put that stuff down. I'll see if I can find it along with the evidence he found.
