GTA V - Stuttering

Hi, since recently upgrading to an RX 470 from a 660 Ti I have been experiencing massive frame drops when entering areas on GTA V where cars are. The only possible reason I can think of is bottleneck but would it really reduce frame rate from around 70 to 25-30? My specs are:

 

AMD FX-6100 (OC to 3.55GHz)
AMD Radeon RX 470 4GB (ASUS ROG Edition)
16GB 1333MHz DDR3 RAM
EVGA 500W 80+ PSU
MSI 970A-G43 Motherboard

 

If anyone knows how to fix this or knows if I have a bottleneck bad enough to cause this then please let me know.

What were your frames before and after the upgrade?

That's a definite bottleneck.

With the 660 Ti it was a constant 60-65fps and now I get the stutter from 70 to around 30fps.

Have you deleted the game and reinstalled to get a clean config?

This is extremely weird since you didn't see those stutters with the 660 Ti... Without that information, I'd say that your CPU is pretty limiting, especially in a game like GTA V that hammers the CPU quite heavily, but it doesn't seem to be the problem here. I'd try a clean install of the graphics drivers with DDU to see if it could be due to a bad installation.

I've already tried that with WHQL and Non-WHQL drivers

did u fully DDU the nvidia drivers

Alt Tab to Windows and back to GTA and it will all run as smooth as ever.

This issue is related to tire smoke IIRC

 

are the graphics settings the same between the two cards? try fiddling with settings until you find something that fixes it.
