External Bluetooth adapter v2.0 vs v4.0 Power Consumption

I play games on ps3 with wireless controller - full battery charge stands up to a week at least. but when i use it on pc to play GTA5 JC3 etc., battery with full charge stands only for one day, i use (Brand - enter) usb Bluetooth adapter v2.0, i wonder if i use Bluetooth v4.0 might make difference in battery drain can someone pls hlp me?

Yes I would expect a bluetooth 4.0 adaptor to help because the newest versions of bluetooth are much more energy efficient. I can't say that it would give you a full week of use, but i expect it to last longer than when using Bluetooth 2.0
