If you are building a pc from scratch you are not going to get that amazing of a pc. If you already have a pc then $300 would get you some nice upgrades on it.

then that depends, you could get a decent pc for 6-700 but it depends on whether you feel its worth it, do you like the games that are coming out for the switch or nah?

For that reason alone I would return it and maybe get it several months later again with more games out there.

Just run switch emulator. I'm sure it takes a while to develop emulator of switch for PC but still it is good unless he wants to play those motion based dual player games with joycon controller.

yes but i think this is Nintendos last big hurrah if it doesn't sell well they could go down the tube, and as for an emulator, they might see it as a threat unless they could monetize it for themselves, but then theyd be cannibalizing their sales for the switch, meaning they'd not want to do that, so an emulator could take years before nintendo just gives up because they have a new system.

i don't know where you are getting those numbers from, but 4K at 600 bucks might be streching it a bit...

I agree with you thats what I stated in my before post it might take a while but meanwhile you can run 3ds and Wii U games. If you want then you can go with switch but I recommend pc.

No not at all RX 480 or GTX 1060 should handle games at 4K really good with more than 40 fps most of the time you can check benchmarking videos if you want.

It is not funny just check the fps and then talk.>:( For 600$ you can get a R9 Fury and it should give 40+ fps  in most games at 4k and other few games might be above 30 for sure with high don't believe me check benchmarks videos and then post back your reply.

just checked benchmarks, in 4k, overwatch got 63 fps--this is fantastic, but the next highest was bioshock infinite at 40 fps--still not bad for the price, but then it has abyssmal performance, barely scraping past 30 fps in some games, and the rest were down in the 20s if not the teens :0, this is not good fps, it is not playable, but it could be playable at 1440p.

R9 fury is able to get 30fps minimum at 4K for sure maybe you need to bring down the settings to medium or medium-high and in some games high. Few games should work fine with highest possible settings too.
