XFX GTR is one of the best, if not THE best.

And in case you don't like that one go for the Nitro+

I was leaning towards the xfx anyways from doing research, however I found videos on both sides showing both the MSI Gaming x and XFX GTR beating each other in cooling prospects, but it seems that most people that have commented so far are leaning towards the XFX card, so that seems to be the logical choice given the various levels of knowledge in the thread. I was looking towards to Gaming x mostly for aesthetic purposes since the color matches my ram and I can edit my AIO lights, but also liked the idea that it's already built to work with afterburner and MSI has a good reputation. I am still rather new, so I don't know too much about XFX yet. Thanks for the info guys.

If the MSI matches your build, go for it.

Go for the MSI then, it is a pretty solid GPU

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

Get the XFX, I have a nitro, it looks nicer but had to RMA due to fan defect. Xfx has less fan defects in production and probably a better RMA process.

none, wait a month for the 580, it should be a more refined version of the 480 with possibly higher clocks....

Alternatively the Fury is dirt cheap (£250) at the moment and is significantly faster than the 480.
