G1 Gaming GTX960 4GB OC help

Vash Baldeus

Well I went through the stickies of the OC database, haven't found anyone who did an OC for said card.

 

Any suggestions?

I think that you should be able to get 1500MHz on the core...

The keyword is "should". Mine tops out at 1480 MHz before artifacting occurs. On the other hand, many cards hit 7.8 GHz on the memory. Mine hits 8.2 GHz without issue.

Voltage you can leave as is. On my card (the 2 GB, SSC version from EVGA), and many Maxwell cards for that matter, the extra 100 mv does nothing. (kind of like Splash in the Pokémon games). My core offset is +40 MHz, which brings my maximum boost clocks to 1480 MHz. My memory clock offset is + 600 MHz.

What's your average temps?

The temps remain at 70 degrees Celsius. The aftermarket coolers tend to be vastly overkill for these cards. 

 

Also, power limits are increased to 110%, though I've a feeling that, like voltage, it is more Placebo than anything that would be useful. Maybe if my silicon were better...
