So I currently have 2x4GB 2400MHz C16 DDR4 Corsair LPX sticks but they are still within the return period so I am wondering if there will be any benefit from swapping to 2x4GB 3000MHz C15 sticks for only $10 extra? Is there a way to calculate performance and compare the real difference between the two? Thanks for any input!

That's a lot of hassle for something that likely won't give you much in terms of gains.

If you're running an APU, maybe.

dont get 2x4GB DDR4, it's almost a hilareous waste of money.

but if you already have them, just keep it as it is.

Why not? I want dual channel without the extra 60 dollars for two 8 gig sticks, and it leaves room for me to double it to 16 later on

because 16GB ram for gaming is gonna be here faster than you're probably imagining.
