what if you reinstall the drivers off the motherboard disc?

why did you mess with the BIOS anyways?

you shouldn't update the bios unless necessary, which it probably wasn't. uninstall all bloatware.

what was the old motherboard and cpu? i didn't care about the bios.

did you breadboard the system at all?

Two questions.

How do I uninstall all "Bloatware"? and what is "breadboard"?

However my old setup was.

CPU: Intel Core i5 4460

you need to reformat your HD/SSD. the swap isn't going to work.

that program that told you to update the BIOS is bloatware for one.

breadboard... assemble and start outside the case.

But the whole thing worked for a whole week and as soon as I updated it, it suddenly stopped working.
Is there perhaps a way that I can undo the update? Or maybe ask Asus for a new board?

Cmos reset is the 2 pins that I need to touch with some metal right?

Yep, or remove the battery for about 30 seconds.

Please refer to your motherboard manual for the proper steps to clear the CMOS.

ASUS ROG STRIX Z270F GAMING manual, Chapter 1, section 1.16, page 1-9.

Quote

1. Turn OFF the computer and unplug the power cord.

2. Short-circuit pin 1-2 with a metal object or jumper cap for about 5-10 seconds.

3. Plug the power cord and turn ON the computer.

4. Hold down the <Delete> key during the boot process and enter BIOS setup to re-enter data.
