I'm getting a new computer soon, and I'd like to a new setup to accompany it. Right now I have black/brown Ikea Malm desk. That's staying. I also plan on keeping my mouse, which is a Logitech G502 Spectrum. However, I'm looking to replace my Blackwidow Chroma and potentially Corsair MM300 mousepad (huge one). What should I do about them? Will a Corsair K70 Platinum RGB and Corsair MM800 Polaris be fine?

I already have one and like the design of it now but hypothetically it's just eh if I want to go something cleaner.

If they made an all black MM300 I'd get it..the MM800 looks clean but it'll be very different compared to a MM300 in terms of how it feels.

Same, that's why I'm torn on what to do. I used to have a Razer Goliathus Control...would an MM800 be like that...I still don't what to do.

An MM800 is a hard surface, unless a MM800 or a Goliathus Control, which are both cloth.  Cloth mouse pads are generally for control.  Hard surface mouse pads are more for speed.  On the website it says 'low friction', which leads me to believe its more for speed over anything else.

The Corsair desk mats don't have a lining around the edges, so the top can get loose from the bottom.

I recommend you get one that does have the lining around the edges. I got the CM Storm Swift RX desk mats and it's pretty damn good.

The K70 is a good board. Maybe you can check in store what switches you like best
