Not surprising really, they've done this before. Remember when the 780Ti beat the original Titan? they had to make a refresh of the Titan to officially beat the 780Ti. I wouldn't be surprised if they made a refresh of the Titan XP.

Usually the titans are aimed more at a content creator than gamer, so it's not surprising that the 1080ti can win in some games.

I'll stick to my 2 1080s until the Volta Titan. In the meantime I'll upgrade to Ryzen (I'm a fan of AMD when it comes to CPUs)

Simple rules:

- If it works, dont update it.

- You don't know how, just do it, you will learn.

- Test, restest, test again, and maybe it will do it.

The first Titan certainly was, but I think it has purely just been a premium gamers card ever since the second iteration.

Peeps, Here is a Q?

Do the TitanX's have the precision thing that the "Ti" models don't.?

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

The best part about the 1080 ti is the fact that aftermarket cards and cooler designs should make it even faster. The titan series typically don't get aftermarket support like the gtx series.
