Hi there,

simple question, can any Intel HD Graphics support 1440p windows resolution ?

I was looking at the HD Graphics 610 but couldn't find this information.

Check your motherboard specifications, it will tell you which (if any) ports can handle that resolution. Some DVI and HDMI ports support it, some don't.

And I assume you just mean regular desktop work and not gaming?

Based on what I've seen from laptops, iGPU's on modern Intel CPU's can handle 4K just fine for desktop use, but certainly not gaming unless you're talking something like Doom95.

(Using a source port, I have played Doom95 at 4K on an iGPU with about 70 fps xD)

Current Build:

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3D

GPU: RTX 3080 Ti FE

RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z CL16 3200 MHz

Mobo: Asus Tuf X570 Plus Wifi

CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X53

PSU: EVGA G6 Supernova 850

Case: NZXT S340 Elite

Current Laptop:

Model: Asus ROG Zephyrus G14

CPU: Ryzen 9 5900HS

GPU: RTX 3060

RAM: 16GB @3200 MHz

Old PC:

CPU: Intel i7 8700K @4.9 GHz/1.315v

RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z CL16 3200 MHz

Mobo: Asus Prime Z370-A

I have a display with 3440x1440 resolution, using DisplayPort cable.

My PC has 6700k with Intel HD Graphics 530. I can play TF2, so Excel is definitely not an issue.

My laptop has 5200U with Intel HD Graphics 5500. It ran some basic games as well, so Excel is definitely not an issue.

You're fine.

Again, check the motherboard just to be sure. HDMI 1.4 and on support 1440p at 60Hz. DVI still often doesn't support it.

Any modern HDMI port supports 1440p @60Hz.

OP should still check to be sure.

I played rocket league on a hd530 at 1080 on medium at 40 fps. so a 610 is fine.

and at my workplace i have a hd530 with 2 1440 displays connected for browsing and excel. no problem.
