SSD usage

Go to solution Solved by Mira Yurizaki,

The total consumption of an SSD should not be more than 90%. It doesn't matter how it's formatted as long as you're not using more than 90% of it.

good morning to all linustech forum members!

i just saw this ad via WD about ssd usage.. . let the picture tell it...

and this is my question...

* do i have to partition only 90% of the ssd and leaving the 10% unformatted?

or

* do i have to format my ssd as 1 drive and not filling it up more than 90%?

thank you! and cheers to everyone...

You make 1 whole partition, then don't fill it over 90%.
