PC as PS3

I use my computer for just about anything and everything, but I got a PS3 for Christmas and I rarely play it. I was wondering if there was a way to put the PS3 HDD in my pc to use it as a console. The way I'm think is just unplug my HDD's in my computer already and plug in the PS3 one but I don't think that's how that would work. 

The main thing I need to know is whether or not that is even possible.
If so, how?

Do you know any PS4 emulators available for pc?
