Need some suggestions on SLI GTX Titan X

So I have decided to SLI Titan X, however there is currently no waterblock made for the Titan X I have, but the new Titan I buy WILL have a compatible waterblock, so what I am asking here is:

 

Would it look stupid to watercool 1 Titan and leave the other one stock? would it be better to leave them both stock? or should I sell the Titan I have, watercool the new one? that would be a waste of money on my part because I will be losing money on the sold Titan.

 

Don't want to hear "SLI Titan X is waste of money" blah blah, just answer the questions please

i don't think you can sli the old and the new titan x.

in terms of look, I'd keep them both stock or both watercooled, no mix

I thought every titan x was identical, board partners can't change the pcb

Why do you need a titan x? 1080ti is almost out which will perform the same, and will defiantly have water blocks. Sell the current titan, buy a 1080ti

They are both Titan X pascal

then water it completely, as far as i know there are no custom pcbs allowed on the titan series, so the waterblocks will be universal

but if you calculate the other way round:

selling the titan will cause a loss and buying 2 1080ti including the loss might be more expensive than getting a second titan

Yeah I was thinking that too, 1080Ti going to be around the £800 price range? which would be £1600 for SLI, that would be cheaper than going SLI Titan

depends....

as they went pretty high with titan and 1080 prices, 1080s will probably become a bit cheaper and the titan remains, so the ti will be middle ground i guess. somewhere between 700 and 800 at least (don't have pounds on my keyboard  )

If it's around £700 for same performance as Titans then I will defo be going for SLI 1080Ti

Ti will almost definitley outperform the Titan. 980Ti outperformed last generations Titan, I don't see why this gen wouldn't be the same.

 

Same or cheaper price for better performance? I'd say worth dude.

Doesn't matter if It does out perform it, Looking as current stats of cards it wont be so great. Unless you want that little bit of extra frames it will provide.

 

Just watercool them both and call it a day. Unless youre chasing numbers like some would do but don't even have the money to get these fancy cards and put them on water.
