Overclocking???

I was told there was a way to get my B85M Gaming(Mirco-Atx) to overclock a pentium g3258( 20th aniiverery) but the bois seems to be locked

i'm sure you'll need a custom janky BIOS to do it.

i installed the latest Msi Bois and that did it other than getting to get the ratio to apply

you need a z170 for overclock

wouldnt fit my socket its a differnt socket but i know what your saying and asus and gigabyte fixxed the b85 series overclocking for the 20th anvesity for thier boards and msi has a patch note on thier site saying it fixxed compatibibly for haswalt k series

The Pentium Anniversary is LGA 1150 and OC's on non-Z boards. H97 is his best bet.

thats what i though but im out of money to buy a new board otherwise i would go ahead and get a z97 board

i was thinking more about the quality, H97 would be the next best thing.

unforantly the b85m Gaming(Mirco ATX which apperntly matters) no costom bois's are there

would it be better for me to buy a mobo for myg3258 or a i7-2600k (I found one for really cheap so i grabbed it at a local pawnshop without thinking about the socket)
