I believe that many psychic illnesses are only imagined but that is just my opinion.

Any opinion must be substantiated in order to be taken seriously.

He called them 'Psychic Illnesses' he's clearly an expert.  If fortune tellers really could predict the future with their tarot cards or tea leaves, they'd predict their own illnesses and take the necessary steps to avoid them.  So clearly these psychics are making up their own psychic illnesses for attention.

That´s because english is my second language so please excuse my mistakes. I personally try to improve it and already did a huge step compared to 3 years ago.

It can help in the short term to remind those suffering from depression that they are loved and there is hope; hugs can be helpful in that regard. However, in the longer term, it is likely they will begin to doubt again, and begin to sink into the cycle of destructive thoughts and feelings of worthlessness again. Because of this, I would highly recommend seeking professional help for her. Now, because of the stigma of mental illness and the tendency of certain people to not take them as seriously as "physical" illnesses, you might want to remind her that it doesn't make you weak or anything to suffer from depression, like it wouldn't make you weak to suffer a severe injury and have to go to the emergency room. Many times there's not a lot you can do about it, and you have to focus on getting better instead. And if you're unable to find a professional to take care of her immediately, give every effort to show that you care and look tirelessly. Give updates on the situation and try to keep her hopes up.

Why is the God of Hyperdeath SO...DARN...CUTE!?

Also, if anyone has their mind corrupted by an anthropomorphic black latex bat, please let me know. I would like to join you.

She sounds exhausting. OP do not waste your time, girls can be like that, especially if she's a teenager.

Just don't let her play you, if you've told her she is not ugly and useless, but continues to believe so, your opinions and you are invalid to her.

This is like saying "the world is flat". Despite substantial amounts of evidence, you still deny it? Despicable.

Wishing leads to ambition and ambition leads to motivation and motivation leads to me building an illegal rocket ship in my backyard.

Professional help.

There is a difference between being sad or feeling down, and being depressed. If she really suffers from depression, she needs a psychologist. I've seen people with depression treated with "cheering up", people with addictions being treated by "friend support". Just no. True mental illnesses (and that's what clinical depression is) require to be taken as seriously as any other disease. You don't give a massage to your friend who broke a leg. You don't buy a cozy sweater for your girlfriend with pneumonia. Same with depression: seek professional advice.

I approve of this message. She might need a combination of cognitive/psychotherapy and the use of antidepressants.

Are you a Scientologist like Tom Cruise? They are also known for potentially life threatening pseudoscientific treatments done by medical charlatans. [1] [2]

hey guys,

i dont know what to do anymore.

i have a (girl) friend and she has quite bad depression. she lost all her friends exept one, her parents are having real problems and she is suspected of having a brain tumor. she sees herself as ugly and useless, and ive tried everything to make her feel better or make her think positiv but i really dont know what to do anymore...

i dont wabt her to do something to herself and i would do anything to stop it. she is such a wonderfull person.....

anyone know what else i could to?

Buy a good quality Conch that can be blown as a bugle. Learn the art of conch-blowing. Blow the conch in front of your girl friend. She will get her mood uplifted after hearing the 'pure' musical note of the conch. If she asks for blowing the conch herself, gladly give it to her - and teach her to blow it. The musical note of conch purifies one's bad aura. (That's why conch is religiously blown in many temples in India.) शुभं भवतु|
