I know the ryzen topic has been done to death,  revived and killed again

But I have had this question for the past couple of days

Amd is saying 82 + mobos on launch

But I can see about 15 or so

Asus

Gigabyte

Msi

Asrock and Biostar haven't updated their websites as of now

When kabylake was launched each company had about 15 to 20 boards on the platform...

Here are some observations that I made

 Asus

Cross hair 1 mobo

Rog            6 mobos (z270)

Total (x370+B350) 2+2

Total (z/h 270) 9+11

Gigabyte

Aorus (Intel)6

Aorus (AmD)2 (gaming 5 and k5)

Total (x370 and B350)

Total (z170 and h270) 21 + 6

Msi

High end (intel) 16

High end (Amd) 2

So my point being,  mobo manufacturers are either holding back mobos or don't have much more faith in   LGA1151 then in Am4.. Though the latter is ruled out based on the fact that amd plans to use the platform upto 2020 also the other mobos might be released on March 3 or alongside ryzen 5 and I am creating problems where there isn't one

Yeah, I'd guess the latter is true. Getting 82 SKUs to retailers around the globe isn't an easy feat if you're supposed to do it all in a few days. Given that the actual "launch" is only on 02-03-2017, I'd say that worrying about the number of available motherboards now (a whole week prior to that date) may be a bit premature.

I am actually waiting for the formula board (asus)  or gaming 9 (msi)

OR something with an integrated water block (m9 extreme)

The titanium looks dope.

It does, yes. The Aorus offerings look very nice too; it's just ASUS that's currently a bit disappointing, with the only RoG board currently out being the Crosshair Hero. It doesn't look bad by any means, but in the knowledge of what's still to come, it seems a bit poor to just have the Hero.

I automatically read dates like that as "February 3, 2017". :)  I know what you mean, though. ;)  (Personally I prefer writing dates as 2017-03-02, using your example date.)

I'd love for boards with feature sets / expandability like these to be added to the Ryzen lineup - of course with the "AMD Ryzen discount".  (Price of AMD-equivalent board is the same % off the Intel board, as the 1700 / 1700X / 1800X, whichever is identical performance at stock, is discounted from the 6900K.)

I would really like a significant upgrade from

Although, I could probably eventually make use of even more SATA ports, like are on the ASRock X99 Extreme11 or Z87 Extreme11/ac. :)
