Any laptop similar to the dell inspiron 7000 gaming but lighter?

ramo55

The dell inspiron 7000 gaming is pretty good for what I'm looking for, however, the deal breaker is the weight of the laptop and it's screen. So are there any other laptops that are similar to the dell but are a bit lighter? Maybe also within the same price range?

xps 15, its a awesome laptop you can pick a older one up for less.

The xps 15 does look nice, but it's more expensive than the inspiron. Also I heard the older one's have cooling issues and so on.

See now I'm confused. He linked me something from xoticpc, where did pcspeacialist come from? Pc specialist is more known here than what the other guy linked me.

Cause it's the same laptop chassis. They all buy from 1 odm Clevo. And they resell it as their own brands.

I would suggest looking into the acer V7 nitro its only slightly more expensive than the dell but you get a significantly thinner body withe a i7 and and better keyboard imo

Acer does have a flimsier build and pretty hard to upgrade compared to the dell but if you take care of it i dont see whats wrong. And its the only other thinner than inspiron 15 laptop with the same specs. Otherwise there is the lenovo ideapad 700 .

Personally i would get the ThinkPad t460p but i am not sure how much it costs in North America

The acer nitro isn't available in the uk in a 15'6" i7 version. only in 17" which I don't want. The acer vx15 is good but it's looks really put me off.

The Sager NP5855 (& all other instances of the N855HJ I've seen) use a similarly poor quality display to the Inspiron, unfortunately: http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/sager-please-make-the-799-np5855-model-use-i5-ips-instead-of-i7-tn.800755/page-3#post-10458809

The Optimus VIII / Sager NP6852 / N850HK1 uses a good one though.
