Hey everyone I want to build a 4k gaming PC but am torn at the moment. Should I wait for ryzen and 1080 ti? What parts should I use?  I've been looking at i7 7700k Asus strix 1080?

Since the reviews for Zen are about a week away, and the 1080TI will drop approximately at the same time, I'd just wait and see if I were you. Some people think that pricing can also be affected by the new releases, so it might even save you some money to wait a week or two.

you should wait now, the 1080ti will end up being a slightly nerfed Titan XP for cheaper and should be announced at the end of the month.

Ryzen 8c/16t could be a better path then the 7700k we will soon find out.

To add on top of @martward, Vega is dropping pretty soon as well so you could wait for a little longer as ya know, it may be actually quite good :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...
