the performance bump to the 480 wouldn't be worth it considering the free shiz you got with the 470

6600K - ASUS Z270i Gaming ITX - 8GB Corsair  Vengence LPX DDR4 2400MHZ - EVGA 1070SC - 120GB HyperX Savage SSD - CX430 PSU:|

you can OC the 470 a little bit to push it near the 480, considering most 470s are just 480s which couldn't handle higher clocks

ok thanks!

~20% performance boost on the 480 over the 470 isn't worth it for a couple extra bucks?

@Lilninjsways I don't know about you, but that definitely sounds worth it to me

this is wrong here

the 470 has a few of the shader cores disabled due to the disable cores being unstable and can go wonky if you force them with a modded vBIOS

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

yeah, it's like 1060 3GB vs 1060 6GB

it's a little slower, got those extra cores disabled, etc.

idk

then i guess the question for you is "which is more valuable? 20% more fps or an Xbox Elite controller".

I'm still rolling in favor of the fps boost. but to each their own.

vBIOS modding is a lot more risky and you can just killed/brick a GPU

and all you get is a dead paperweight
