I'd go with Asus STRIX.

Why though?

From my understanding, the Z's added performance and RGB logo on the back plate doesn't really make up for the added cost

Though Palit is not much available in NA

Well I did say it wasnt red/black - but then red/black build, id buy the best performing 1070 for the $$$ and put it on water to match my build, seen a 20 - 30C temp drop on my 1080

I don't plan to custom water cool yet. Not quite comfortable with that. AIO, yes. Custom, not quite yet. Id be moving up from an A6 apu, and this is my first build, if that tells you guys anything. I'm simply unsure of what I want to get. I'd rather buy low now, hold onto it for a while so the 1080ti and Vega can come out and prices settle along with the reviews to be done.

You should just wait then. Theres no point in buying a 1070 now if you're intending to drop in a Vega / ti - Also wait for RYZEN for CPU's

I am waiting for RYZEN. I'd wait 6-12 months before I actually stick a VEGA or a Ti into it. I don't feel like throwing away that much cash, and it's still up in the air as to WHEN they will. Plus the Ti is still just roomer last I heard. I also still remember the pricing issue with the 10 series and it being hard to find someone with it in stock.
