In order of 3D performance instead of 2D quality:

  • Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 Pro 4MB
  • Creative Riva 128ZX 8MB
  • No brand Nvidia Riva Vanta 16MB (64bit BUS)
  • Diamond Viper V550 16MB (128bit BUS)
  • 3DFX Diamond Monster II 12MB
  • 3DFX STB Voodoo2 12MB
  • Diamond Stealth III S540 32MB
  • EVGA Geforce 6200 Turbocache 512MB (128MB DDR2 over a 64bit bus, the rest dynamically shared over AGP and recognised as being onboard)
  • No brand Geforce FX5500
  • Asus PCX5750 (PCIe FX5700 Ultra)
  • Gigabyte GTX 650ti OC 2GB
  • Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming

Wow nice, Diamond is a name that I haven't heard for a few years :)

They remain my favourite manufacturer despite being dead. I just hope none of the Tantalum capacitors burst into flames (they didn't use electrolytic capacitors, so excluding sudden failure they should remain in working order long after my GTX 970 finally finishes dying).

Edit: The Monster and Viper were pulled from a machine with a Pentium II 233, and came with the original pass through and SLI cable for free :D

A while ago it had the smell of fried electronics coming from it, and now:

  • Its limited to PCIe x8 in any motherboard
  • It runs hotter than a reference GTX 970 (heat is being transferred, the heatsink is bloody hot under load)
  • It can't even manage a 50MHz overclock regardless of the voltage and power limit
  • To run stable at stock it needs the power limit set to 112%

Yeah. Not too badly though, because despite the performance, I love my GTX 650ti far better as it took me from gaming on laptops that were mediocre for gaming when new (640x480 at medium, 800x600 at low in all games made after 2003-2004), to gaming at 1024x768@85Hz with ultra settings even in Crysis 3.

I love my GTX 650 Ti as well, mine has the Cyclone cooler on it which looks bloody sweet.

Currently installed - 750Ti 2GB

Old Cards: The reason I posted pics is because I forgot what the name of this first one is called and was hoping someone would ifentify it.

Download GPU-Z if you want to identify the card.
