So at my job, we have a clearance/used section.  Right now there's a GTX 680 in there.

It's an MSI GTX 680 2GB Twin Frozer edition.

My boss said a couple hundred for it, but is willing to think about my best offer.

Is $200 a good deal?  Or should I offer something different?

200 US? Fuck no.

I don't think it's a good deal in any currency that uses dollars.

For $150 USD you can find a 290x. For $200 a R9 Fury is do able.

Let me get this straight, he is saying a couple of hundred for a USED graphics card with a 2 GB video cache, when you can get a brand new 1050 TI for around $150.00?  I would not go for more than $50.00 on this.

It was used once.  They had it in a demo unit never used.  So they turned in on once to make sure it worked.

Used market doesn't work that way. 750Ti's go for $50-$60. The 680 is basically a 960, it'll go for $80-$90. R9 280/x's are slightly better deal at $100-$110

$50 is fucking insane. That's a fucking steal if he could EVER find one for that price. $80-$90 is considered a good price for 680s. 770s are the exact same card, they go for about $100-$110. If he wants to find a used GPU for $100, 280/x's are his best bet.

IDK, there are several selling for below 150. Ive been checking craigslist periodically for the last few months, and the prices have been trending down pretty sharply. Even 3 months ago it was extremely difficult for me to find any that were less than 150, now there are like 6.

I would ask if there is any specific reason that it has to be a 680.  I'm sure if you get on a site like Amazon you can probably find a brand new GPU for $100 to $200 that would have better performance.

Pretty easy to find a 680 on here for $80. I'd still highly suggest going with a R9 280x from AMD if you want used as the card is still receiving driver updates.
