Need help for upgrading my config

Farouk

I am currently running the following specs:

Intel Core i5 750
12GB DDR3 RAM
nVidia GeForce GTX 770 (i do have 2 but my psu is not powerful enough)

Evga p55 ftw sli

Seasonic s12 500w

Samsung ssd 250g

WD 2tb hard drive

Nzxt h440 case
My question is should I upgrade my CPU? I know my video card will be able to run at least the next generation of games. But, my CPU is a bit older than my video card and i am not sure when to upgrade my CPU, or maybe if I even need to. Can anyone help me out?

Wait for Ryzen to come out (in a few months). It should have cheap, and decentish performance if the leaks are to be believed. If they aren't that good, it should bring Intel's prices down anyway if it performs any better than before.

I'm account for that fact that that's a rumour, and could be completely false.

No Ryzen SKUs have been released yet.

His PSU is perfectly fine (anything by Seasonic is fine, and it's actually a 520W PSU).

Didn't know that's just rumour. I thought that Q1 was official release date from AMD.

Well, it should be Q1 for Ryzen and Q2 for Vega, but those are still rumours.

He said he has 2 gtx 770 but not as Powerfull PSU.

SLI would be great for his System, so he needs a Better Psu.

Except he could just sell both his 770s and get an RX 480 or GTX 1070 (depending on what he gets for the 770s + saved money), and the latter would easily outperform 770s in SLI.

770 "Only" Cost 70$, and he has 2. Why would he want to Spend 200$+ for a New Graphics Card?
