I am taking a graphic design class in school this year and one of the programs we learned was Adobe Illustrator (albeit CS5 but whatever). I really like using this program and I have these personal projects I work on along side our normal assignments. My problem with utilizing the school's program is that I A) won't be able to use it after this year, and B) I only have about 10-20 minutes a day to work on something.

To my knowledge Adobe no longer sells the Creative Suite programs and now Creative Cloud (I think) is subscription based. My problem is $30 a month for a hobby is not at all worth it to me. I have no problem with paying for CS6, but I can't find it anywhere.

Is there a way I can download it anywhere online without using a sketchy website that makes me feel like my computer is going to explode. Thank you for your help :)

Nothing that I can see on Amazon

Although... looking myself at ones on ebay, they seem pretty dodgy so i probably wouldn't go there...

You can try free (open source) alternatives like Inkscape.

Did you try Student pricing? Student pricing is typically cheaper than $30/month.

And if you can't afford the product in it's current price then it is probably not meant for you a.k.a you are not the intended target audience.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.
