Building my new PC, and need help to check if this build is ok!

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Ld3Ljc

CPU: i7 6700k

GPU: EVGA GTX 1060 6GB

Motherboard: Z270

Memory: 2x8GB DDR4-2666 from Corsair (Vengeance)

Storage: 500GB SSD (Samsung EVO-Series)

PSU: Corsair CXM 650W 80+ Bronze

and then throw everything inside a Fractal Design Define R5 w/Window

I'll use the PC mostly for gaming (1080p only, 60fps ata ny game (except CSGO, where I would like to have more, but if it can handle for wxample GTA 5 at 60fps, CSGO wouldn't be a problem)

I'm allready over my budget, so I would just try to find something that I don't have to spend that much on.

(is it really necessary with a 6700k? (want the option to overclock))

Hi,

for 1080p you don't generally need an i7, so if getting that means going over the budget then don't get it.

I also swapped the video card for a different model with slightly better cooling, and these days a good 550W PSU is more than enough for this kind of system. Czech this out:

You don't really need an 6700k for 1080p gaming so i'd go for a 6600k or just wait a few weeks ryzen to come out :) also i'd look into an NZXT S340 instead of the fractal design case :)

Looks like a lot of people suggest a cheaper CPU and a 1070, while others says I don't need the 1070...

I have tried with a cheaper CPU and the 1070, but it's a lot more expensive, and I've already spent more than I should. Also, I agree with the people that says that I don't need the 1070, but I won't use this GPU, since a lot of people said the cooling was awful.

thanks for all the help!
