1060 or 1070?

NewAndy

Should I buy the GTX 1060 6GB for $358 USD or the GTX 1070 FTW $614,5 USD?

I'm on a pretty tight budget, but was wondering that it is worth investing in a 1070 for $256 extra

I'm buying an i7 6700k and a Z270 motherboard (650W PSU)

@shadowbyte I live in Norway, I've only checked one site, and this isn't the cheapset 1070 on that site. it is the EVGA 1070 FTW

I bet I can find the same GPU for less, this is just the first thing I found.

Still like 3 months until I will buy the parts, so I'm waiting for VEGA as well, just trying to find out what is the  best build

well it depends on what you plan on doing. if don't plan to go over 1080p 60fps you should just get the gtx 1060.

1070 is a good idea for 144h 1080p

in what games? you'll either have turn down some settings or get a 1070 if you want to reach high framerates in demanding games.

check ebay for prices, they should be ALOT cheaper.

Just buy from like Newegg and like NCIX and other merchants.

@Brooksie359 I just need more than 60fps in CSGO, all other games (GTA 5, Arma3, DayZ), 60 fps is enough.

So I guess I'll go with the 1060...

Thanks

yeah i think you'll be fine to get over 60 fps in CSGO xD

Nothing wrong here, some countries have high importation taxes.

what resolution are you going to play?, to pair a 6700k the 1070 would be better but if you are going to be playing at 1080p and is really tight on budget the 1060 6gb is good or do give a look at the rx 480 offerings, if you find one with 8gb with aftermarket cooler that is cheaper it will be a better deal especially if you are looking for a monitor too since freesync monitors comes in a good quality and cheaper price tags, I personally really like LG 2560x1080p Ultra wide and it is usually a very good price for these external markets outside united states and european union.
