People keep going back and forth about my power supply and i need to know is it really that bad? i dont want anything bad happening to my computer.  some people say the new Cxm series is good idk?

Heres my whole parts list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KrLXFd

Whoever's saying that is mislead. The psu you chose is totally fine and shouldn't give you any problems at all.

I first thought that the CX/M CS series were really bad but when Corsair came up with the new version of the CX/M and CS series, they are really reliable in comparison to the old ones. You're fine with the CXM 550W Power Supply, no worries there.

Good to hear. got really with all negative feedback people were telling me. just needed to know if it was so bad that its worth refunding it and getting something else

No, the new version of the CX/M series (The one you currently have) is much better than the older version, that's why people say that the CX/M Series are very bad but they apparently don't know that it is a new version.

so it could run all my components just fine even if i decide to over clock?

Yes, 550 watts should be more than enough for an overclocked 7600k and 1070.

I still have a green label and have had issues with it in the past, but yes the grey are better quality now. You wont need to worry. AS long as it's DEFINITELY gray.

The newer grey label units are better than the older units yes, but I would have no bought a CX550M with a 1070 just for balancing sake and because I don't like sleeve-bearing fans which, as far as I can tell, is one of the biggest reasons the CXM can keep its price point.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
