You really need 2 Gpus for this. It makes no sense at a 650$ price point, at that price it's a challenge to get a solid quad core and a solid gpu without compromising any other parts.

the quality wont great and it wont want to cope on harder games. Depends what FPS your looking for.

That build makes 0 sense. You can literally build 2 better PCs with used parts

Well to start... You need a Hypervisor to virtualize and split the hardware. Another, you need one GPU per gamer for this to work effectively (if at all).

 

So unless you were planning on some same-screen/split-screen action, you're not going to get the same thing Linus did.

i have done this wit the same build except it was a gtx 1050 and it worked well on overwatch (for 2 people it was on low resolution and also lowest graphics) just one person the 1050 is great im just making another build for another house so me and my roommate can play together (using a virtualization application to have two people play at once

mainly overwatch is what were gonna play and most likely 60 fps i dont care about graphical stuff just i need it to work

i have two crappy monitors we play one with 1440xwhatever it is both and whats a hypervisor?

Basically it's a virtual machine manager. However I've found people use the term to mean a "bare metal" hypervisor as described in the page. That software does not come cheap and again, you're going to need two GPUs for this to work effectively.

 

You also cannot use say VirtualBox because there's no way to virtualize the GPU. Yes, VirtualBox does come with 3D acceleration, but it's pretty broken and was probably meant more for getting something basic like Aero Glass to work.

No. That's something you can do on your own (or you can get rid of the RX 480 and put two RX 460s in there)

 

Although I did say a hypervisor wouldn't come cheap, apparently VMWare has one for free: https://my.vmware.com/en/web/vmware/evalcenter?p=free-esxi6 I'm not going to tell you how to set that up because simply I don't know how.
