Incorrect PhysX driver uninstall makes update impossible

Go to solution Solved by AlwaysFSX,

And there's no possibility you can get a second computer or someones help to install PhysX and just send you the folder? Possibly with the required contents inside..?

I recently had a completely incorrect installation of my Nvidia drivers, which made it necessary to remove the driver before updating it (it would give a bsod if I didn't). Recently, that error dissapeared and my updates are going normal. But I also noticed a new problem: my PhysX driver doesn't update itself.

I found out that it propably has to do with an improper uninstall done by Driver Sweeper, due to which my new driver can't uninstall the previous one (although it isn't on my system anymore). I tried running the setup manually, but I gives the following error: "The function you want to use, is located on a network source which is unavailable." (translated from Dutch). The installer asks me to locate a file called "PhysX_9.12.1031_SystemSoftware.msi" but I can't find it anywhere on my pc. I've tried downloading the file and selecting it in the installer, but it says that it isn't the correct one (propably because the .nvi and .dll files are missing).

It also says that this is the proper installation path: C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Installer2\Display.PhysX.{F9A94CBF-CF90-4DFE-AC0F-2A5C4C2B0D5C}\

Has anyone occured such an issue before or know a proper fix?

Thanks in advance! (system specs below)

Tried using this:  http://www.guru3d.com/content_page/guru3d_driver_sweeper.html

it removes everything in your system to do with the selected drivers. after you run it, it will want to restart your pc. from there restart one last time and then try installing drivers.

@Altecice. OP mentioned that they used Driver Sweeper.

Go to the folder that you listed. You should see a PhysX executable. Try running it.

That folder doesn't exist anymore due to the bad uninstall. The problem seems to be that the new installer requires it to update Physx, although it shouldn't be installed anymore (it also doesn't appear in the programs list of the configuration-screen).
