How much do they cost?

The Corsair RM550x costs about 100€ and the Seasonic M12II 520 Evo costs about 66€ where I live.

well i mean its kinda personal preference. both power supplies are plenty safe so its more about efficiency rating and features at that point. id probably just go with the cheaper one because i could care less about efficiency as long as the power-supply is still safe for my components. then again i don't pay for my electricity so that may change when i do start paying utilities.

I mean the RMx is a much better PSU so it depends on what you're powering and all that.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

I want to build a mid range PC which can handle less demanding games and some other tasks like light video editing. I want to make sure that the quality of the components I use is good. And the RM550x has 10 years of warranty while the M12II-520 Evo has only 5 years of warranty.

I personally, would go for the Corsair RM550x or possibly something other than the M12II Evo if you want something not as expensive. Can you provide a link to the store(s) you are able to buy from so we can see what's available to you?

The RMx sounds like it would be worth it to ya

If either PSU were to fail, it will most likely do so within less than 5 years anyways. Warranty isn't really the first thing to compare when it comes to these reputable PSUs. Both are very solid, which you should go for honestly depends on what other components are in your build, and what you could be doing with that money you save.
