Windows search is acting up

Hello my fellow humans! I have encountered a problem with my Windows 10 Home search feature. It almost works. I can open it, I can search for things like 'controlpanel' and 'system information' an it works all fine and dandy but I can't search anything that I have installed myself, it just doesn't show up. I have tried doing the Index-properties thing and all that but it just doesn't seem to work. Anyone got any tips on how to fix this?

You could always look through your programs list instead and either pin them to the start menu or taskbar to find them easier next time.

You could aslo use the search function of explorer too, so from within folders.

It's just that I have so goddamn many programs so that would just be a hassle...

It has worked fine before, it is really handy once it does.

I meant it worked fine before, in Windows 10. And I actually never used the search function in Windows 7.

I personally think it's more of a hassle to search for programs every time you want to use them. Pin them to your desktop/taskbar or start menu to make it easier to find is better IMO. That's how I have mine, and make good use of the multiple screens too, the one good thing about windows now that linux has had for a long time IMO.
